於2024年2月13日，台灣散熱器廠商訊凱國際公司 (Cooler Master)，透過其美國地區經銷商CMI USA, Inc.，向美國中加州聯邦地方法院遞狀提起專利侵權訴訟；主張台灣廠商銀欣科技(SilverStone Tech.)、保銳科技(Enermax Tech.)，以及大陸廠商深圳昂湃公司(Apaltek) 所製造並進口美國販售的CPU水冷散熱器與RGB燈光控制器，分別侵害其所擁有的2件發明與1件設計專利。

其中兩件發明專利USP# 11061450、USP#10509446係屬於同一專利家族，'450專利是'446專利的延續案(Continuation)，因此兩者具有相同的說明書和圖示。

A. USP# 10509446專利範圍
以下列出US '446 專利請求項第一項原文、中文翻譯與說明書部分實施例圖示的比對說明。

其中冷卻水流穿過水冷器的路徑大致是：入水口46 -> 第五腔室44 -> 導流板3下方的第二腔室372　 -> 穿過導流板3中央第三開孔33 -> 向上流到導流板3上方的第四腔室42，並被馬達轉子驅動提高流速 -> 流道423 -> 穿過導流板3側邊的第四開孔34 -> 向下流到導流板3下方的第一腔室371 -> 穿過第一開孔14 進入熱交換室 -> 冷水在熱交換室中吸收CPU熱能變成熱水 -> 穿過第二開孔15 -> 第六腔室45 -> 殼體4出水口47排出熱水。

專利說明書強調：如此蓋構件1的第一開孔14為狹縫，可以減小冷卻水的流通面積，提高工作流體進入熱交換室時的流動速度，可提升熱交換效率。

與先前 '446專利相比，'450 專利範圍第一項增加外殼體6元件限制，但刪除導流板3下方兩腔體相關的限制。

必需仰賴高運算效能的CPU，電競遊戲玩家才能充分體驗流暢遊戲運作和完美的畫面光影效果，而如此高熱的CPU必需要靠水冷系統才能適當地降溫；另外水冷系統的LED可發出七彩變換燈光，穿過透明電腦機殼，提升整個電腦系統的酷炫新奇感。因此可發光的CPU水冷系統成為當下電競玩家組裝桌機電腦時的熱門選項。

CPU水冷系統產業競爭激烈，競爭廠商間常有專利爭議，除了上述專利侵權訴訟案外，訊凱國際 Cooler Master 也曾於2021提起確認之訴 (Declaratory Judgement)，並向美國專利商標局(USPTO)提起多方複審(Inter Parter Review)，積極地攻擊丹麥廠商Asetek Danmark的7件美國專利有效性，其中4件專利複審後被判定為無效。（1950字；圖20）
