2010年7月29日，邦諾(Barnes & Noble)才針對日前跨國電信商阿爾卡特朗訊(Alcatel-Lucent)的七項專利侵權指控提出確認之訴(Declaratory Judgment)，主張未侵犯其專利及該四項專利無效。而同一時間，邦諾也另外對前陣子全錄公司(Xerox)的四項專利侵權指控提出一模一樣的求償模式，全案目前一樣交由紐約南部聯邦地院審理。
根據之前全錄公司對邦諾所提出的控告，四項系爭專利為網站訪客渠道相關，透過系統的設計，讓訪客可以藉由最便捷的渠道進入網站查詢使用，進而減少連線時間以及增進使用效益，對於邦諾這樣一個大型的電子商務交流網站，是一項最基本同時也是最重要的公司技術。
被告全錄公司成立於1906年，主要生產影印機及投影機的設備與耗材，由於該公司在產業界的成功，甚至在美式英語中有直接把xerox當作影印的動詞及名詞的口語使用，而過去全錄公司在專利法庭的經歷也相當豐富，因此預計這場與邦諾之間的戰爭，將會有更精彩的持續性發展等著上演。(389字；表1)
