2014年12月4日，德拉瓦州註冊公司Iron Gate Security, Inc.於紐約南區聯邦地方法院分別提告D-Link Corporation (友訊科技)及D-Link Systems, Inc兩家網路通訊廠商侵權，Iron Gate Security, Inc.主張被告侵犯其所擁有一件專利US 6,288,641，有關運用移動終端遠端監控一受監視地點的技術，違反35 U.S.C. §271侵權行為。
本案系爭專利US 6,288,641 [Assembly, and associated method, for remotely monitoring a surveillance area]，原始授權人屬於Nokia公司，後於2012年8月Vringo公司決定積極開發專利領域，向Nokia購買了507項核准專利及申請中專利，這些專利主要與行動通訊技術有關。本案的系爭專利就是當初Vringo向Nokia買來的專利之一。依此推測Iron Gate Security, Inc.公司應該與Vringo公司存在某種合作關係。
同時，本案系爭專利US 6,288,641已於2013年9月12日，由專利授權公司Vringo Infrastructure Inc，向南佛羅里達州聯邦地方法院（Southern District of Florida）提起專利訴訟，控告安全系統商ADT Corporation，及Tyco Integrated Security LLC，所提供的遠端監控系統（Remote Monitoring System）侵犯其專利權。(600字；表2)
