Padfone產品侵權，Exo Tablet公司控告網路零售商Negri

2013年01月25日，ExoTablet Ltd. (以下簡稱ExoTablet公司)向美國喬治亞州北區地方法院(U.S. Georgia Northern District Court)提起專利侵權訴訟(案號為1:2013cv00265)，主張Negri Electronics, Inc. (以下簡稱Negri公司)侵害其一件專利權。

本案的原告ExoTablet公司是一家英國公司，公司總部位於倫敦境內，經查ExoTablet公司目前主要的營運成員有兩位， CEO是Carl Guest，Stephen Risley是企業IP律師，以TransPhone International 之名稱從事網路零售商業營運。

本案的被告Negri公司是一家美國頗具知名度的線上零售商，註冊於美國內華達州。此次被訴，主要是因為Negri公司在其網路銷售頁面上販售了台灣消費電子大廠華碩公司(ASUS Ltd.)所開發生產的產品「Padfone」以及「Padfone 2」

1. An input/output device (基座) for a mobile telephone providing a handheld, wirelessly portable, enhanced user interface for the mobile telephone having a display screen, comprising:

• a housing (基座外殼) sized and configured to be conveniently carried by hand (方便使用者徒手攜帶 )
• an electronic display screen (基座螢幕) mounted to or enclosed in the housing that is larger than the display screen on the mobile telephone (基座螢幕比手機螢幕大);
• a user operable input device (基座觸控/按鈕介面) mounted to or enclosed in the housing for receiving user commands for controlling the mobile telephone while the input/output device is handheld and wirelessly portable;
• a cradle (基座機構連接埠) mounted to or enclosed in the housing configured for physically receiving and holding the mobile telephone;
• a communication port (基座電氣連接埠) mounted to or enclosed in the housing for communicating with the mobile telephone when the mobile telephone is held by the cradle;
• wherein the input/output device is configured to physically hold and transport the mobile telephone while the input/output device is handheld, the input device is used to control the mobile telephone, and the enlarged display screen displays information supplied by the mobile telephone;
