2019年4月30日，美國LED公司Lighting Science Group(LGS)等三家公司對多家LED廠商提出337調查，指控10組被告公司(其中兩組被告為中國企業: 廈門立達信及其美國公司、木林森含LEDVANCE、晶科能源、隆基綠能科技，其中被告有日本Nichia等)，侵犯其8個美國專利。其中7家中國企業涉案，涉及太陽能電池片及其下游產品。本案主要涉及LED燈具(如筒燈和道路)，以及LED系統相關的8個美國專利。

LSG與木林森(MLS)曾於2017年3月簽署合資協議成立Global Value Lighting(GVL)，整合木林森的生產成本優勢為其提供自有品牌產品。依據LSG本次起訴狀的內容，木林森仍是該合資公司GVL的股東。

LSG此次興訟原因，推測因LED市場低迷可能藉授權專利以取得資金。因此，應訴企業要考慮不僅是應訴此次訴訟的成本，而更要考慮所謂的專利技術是否對應到產品的價值，及對產品成本的影響等。(324字；圖1)
