據USPTO轉讓資料得知，Apple在2018年12月執行一件與家庭監控系統相關的專利轉讓申請，從Lighthouse AI公司手中取得8項專利。
由於，Lighthouse AI在競爭激烈的家用相機市場未能獲得認同，宣佈於去年(2018)年底關閉。該公司曾於2018年2月推出了其首款產品，即具有一些人工智慧（AI）功能的安全攝像頭。
該相機專利組合，包括一些面部識別技術，可以隨著時間的推移識別家中熟悉的面孔。然而，由於299美元的高售價和每月訂閱費一些人工智能功能的費用，使得該產品處於昂貴而失去市場認同的悲劇。
