亞馬遜推出49.99美元平板，搶攻後端服務商機

在蘋果不斷推出高階平板電腦以及智慧型手機之策略下，亞馬遜卻反其道而行積極搶攻低階平板與家庭電子產品市場。因此，亞馬遜於近期發表的一系列新裝置中，包括了49.99美元的7吋Fire平板電腦，以及升級的99.99美元之Fire TV串流媒體裝置，以及針對Fire TV的新遊戲遙控桿。

這款49.99美元平板電腦的最具競爭力的優勢就是零售價格。如果將這款平板電腦與其競爭的價格不到100美元的平板電腦共同展示給消費者。其實，會發現這款擁1024x600像素螢幕的平板電腦，在質量上反而更為優越。因為包含1.3 GHz四核處理器，1GB的RAM，使得其能夠很出色的反應與獲得較高品質的影像，甚至電池續航力長達7小時。簡單來說，低價的Fire平板電腦將為顧客對低價平板的預期立下新標準，並獲得高性價比的真實感受。

為了衝高這款產品的銷售量，亞馬遜更打出買五送一的行銷戰。這就是變相鼓勵消費者進行團購，或者讓家中所有成員都可擁有一台Fire平板電腦。這種效果到了年底銷售旺季時，就會變得非常有利。因為每年耶誕旺季時，都是一個送禮的季節，如果能夠利用250美元即可獲得六台Fire平板電腦，將是非常划算的方案。

不過，這款廉價平板電腦唯一美中不足可能就是其保固期較短。根據亞馬遜表示，49.99美元之Fire保固期僅僅只有90天。 此外，亞馬遜還針對青少年設計的7吋平板電腦Fire Kids Edition。這款99.99美元的平板電腦，含有兩年期無條件換貨協議，並帶有一個厚橡膠保護外套和為期一年的亞馬遜FreeTime。
