NISSIM 是一家軟體公司，專門針對電腦上 DVD 播放器研發並銷售特定功能的應用軟體，它可以讓使用者透過軟體裡預先設定的分級分類方式，先將內容以其特殊方式進行預處理，找出內含暴力、裸露、性，或是嗑藥、 … 等等不同項目的內容；可以讓使用者根據準備欣賞 DVD 內容的人員選擇或避免部份內容，例如：在家裡，父母可以選擇避免 DVD 內容中出現暴力、裸露、性，或是嗑藥等不適宜內容的影片段落，並以無縫式接著技術確保使用者影片的觀賞品質。
NISSIM 認為， SANSUMG 目前在佛羅里達州進口、銷售與提供的 DVD 與藍光播放器等相關產品已明顯侵害到前述六項專利宣告的相關權利項範圍。因此， 原告 NISSIM 請求法院判處 SANSUMG 目前正在製造、使用、銷售或提供的相關產品及服務侵權事實，並要求被告對其侵權行為進行損害賠償。 (465 字；表 2)
