專利授權公司 DigiTude Innovations控告7家手機大廠

2011年12月2日位於美國維吉尼亞州的專利授權公司 DigiTude Innovations, LLC公司在美國國際貿易委員會(ITC)及Delaware 地院分案個別提出專利侵權告訴，被告是一線手機及平板機大廠有：索尼、三星、樂金、諾基亞、摩托羅拉、宏達電、RIM及亞馬遜等 8 家廠商。

本次八案皆以相同 4 項系爭專利US5926636、US5929655、US6208879、US6456841提告被告侵權，主要涉及4G技術使用於可攜式通訊裝置，使用於平板機、手機等裝置上。這些專利分別屬於三菱電機及Adaptec，經過移轉至DigiTude Innovations手上。其中879專利曾經移轉給蘋果公司運用，這也說明了DigiTude這次獨缺沒告蘋果的原因。

DigiTude Innovations, LLC公司是由專利律師Christian D. Abel設立的專利授權公司，採取與科技業廠商合作，目的在於取得專利權後將專利價值轉化成現金流。(262字；表3)

被告9家手機公司與DigiTude達成庭外和解

2012年6月1日美國ITC法官同意被告9家公司聯合提出終止調查之要求，共同與DigiTude達成庭外和解。主要原因是基於這兩大咖專利授權公司DigiTude與RPX達成某種協議後，而被告因是RPX長期客戶，因而促成原被告雙方的和解。
